1,504 New Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Tokyo

Japan's health ministry says it confirmed 1,504 new cases of the coronavirus in Tokyo on Tuesday.

The daily tally is down 2,806 from a week ago.

The ministry also said four deaths were confirmed in the capital.

The number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines is eight, the same as Monday.

Nationwide, ministry officials confirmed 13,123 new cases and 27 deaths on Tuesday.
