Fireworks, Drones Show Held At 2025 Expo Site In Osaka
Hundreds of drones and tens of thousands of fireworks illuminated the night sky on Sunday at the 2025 World Expo site in Osaka, western Japan.
About 15,000 people visited Yumeshima, a man-made island in Osaka's Konohana Ward, for the event designed to boost momentum for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Just before 7 p.m., 800 drones appeared in the sky, where they drew an image of the Expo's official character, Myaku-Myaku, as well as the Expo title written in Japanese.
That was followed by a one-hour show of 45,000 fireworks.
One visitor said that it was very impressive and beautiful.
Another said that he looks forward to the Expo, which he expects will promote the many charms of Japan to the world.
A representative of the event organizer said that he hopes that as people look up at the sky to watch the fireworks, they can also look to the future. He added that he wants to involve as many people as possible in the Expo.
