Health Ministry Confirms 2,840 Coronavirus Cases In Tokyo

Japan's health ministry says it confirmed 2,840 new cases of the coronavirus in Tokyo on Friday.

The daily tally is down 655 from a week ago.

The ministry also confirmed six deaths.

It says nine seriously ill patients are on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines. The figure is down two from Thursday.
