Japan Condemns Russia's 'incorporation' Of Parts Of Ukraine

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio says his country strongly condemns Russia's "incorporation" of four regions in Ukraine.
In a Twitter post, he says the move "infringes upon Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, constitutes a violation of international law, and shall never be recognized."
Kishida says Japan "cannot condone any attempts to unilaterally change the status quo by force," and strongly urges Russia "once again to stop the aggression immediately."
Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa says Japan will continue to work with the other Group of Seven nations and the wider international community to support Ukraine and impose severe sanctions on Russia.
