Professional Go Player Arrested For Allegedly Striking Wife

Tokyo police have arrested a professional Go player for allegedly injuring his wife by striking her face.
The police say the 52-year-old ninth-dan player, Cho Sun-jin, is suspected of hitting his wife at their home on Sunday night, causing bruising around her right eye.
Cho has reportedly admitted to the charge.
Police say authorities had not received any previous reports of trouble between the couple.
The official website of Japan's Go association, the Nihon Ki-in, says Cho came to Japan from South Korea in 1982 and in 1999 won Honinbo, one of the three major Go titles.
