Tokyo Reports 3,489 New Covid Cases On Thursday

Japan's health ministry confirmed 3,489 new cases of the coronavirus in Tokyo on Thursday, down 849 from a week ago.

The number of severely ill COVID patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines in the capital stands at 11, an increase of two from the day before.

Four deaths of COVID patients were confirmed in Tokyo.

Nationwide, the health ministry confirmed 36,110 new cases on Thursday. There were 71 deaths.
