Tokyo Reports 4,855 New Cases Of Coronavirus On Saturday

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government reported 4,855 new cases of coronavirus infection on Saturday, down 3,163 from a week ago.

The seven-day average stood at 6,323.3, which is 75.9 percent of the figure for the previous week.

Tokyo officials confirmed nine deaths on Saturday.

The number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines in the capital stood at 15.
