Tokyo Reports 8,077 New Coronavirus Cases On Sunday

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 8,077 new cases of the coronavirus on Sunday.

The daily tally is up 327 from a week ago, and marks the first week-on-week increase in 28 days.

Tokyo officials also confirmed six deaths.

The number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines was 25, up one from Saturday.
