While Nikon has attempted mirrorless cameras in the past, the company’s initial launch was met with a lukewarm response. The company then tried again with their new Z series which proved to be much more popular, and now the company is back with the second-generation of mirrorless cameras based off the first Z series – the Nikon Z6 II and the Z7 II.

Obviously both cameras are different from each other, but they will also share quite a number of similar features. For starters, both cameras feature a magnesium alloy body that has also been weather-sealed to ensure that they do not get damaged by the elements. They will also both feature the use of Nikon’s dual EXPEED 6 processors to process the images taken by the company, and will come with an enhanced focus system, and support for 4K video capture of up to 60p.

The Xperia 5 II has now started to ship in some regions, with some lucky customers already receiving units. Browsing through the r/SonyXperia subreddit highlights a variety of owners who have received their Xperia 5 II over the last few days (see some links below).

There are many cameras in the market today, and for the most part, a lot of them look rather similar to each other. However, it seems that Panasonic wants to challenge the norm by unveiling the Lumix BGH1. As you can see in the photo above, this is a camera that sports a boxy-like design.

According to Panasonic, the Lumix BGH1 is a mirrorless four thirds camera that has apparently been designed for video in mind. The company envisions the camera being used together with other devices like drones, or being used in multi-camera setups, or even live streaming. So much so that Panasonic has actually included Power over Ethernet+, meaning that it can be powered by the same cable that it would use to connect to a network.

While Sony has been opening up pre-orders for its PS5 around the world, India has oddly been left off the list. Obviously Sony isn’t going to ignore such a massive market such as India, so what’s the deal? As it turns out, it could be a legal issue because it appears that someone in India has trademarked the PS5 name, and it wasn’t Sony.

According to a report from The Mako Reactor, a Delhi resident by the name of Hitesh Awani had actually filed for the trademark for the PS5 name back in October 2019, based on public records. This would have effectively prevented Sony from using the name, which would be problematic if they wanted to launch the console in India.

Word on the street has it that Fujifilm is working on a new mid-range camera in the form of the X-S10. Not much is known about the camera for now, but thanks to Fuji Rumors, it seems that they might have an idea on how big the camera is. As you can see in the image above, it looks like it will be much smaller than the flagship X-T4.

Like most computers, the PS5 comes with a built-in fan to deal with heating. As the console plays more intensive games, components start to heat up and the fan speed is kicked up to help address the heat generated by the console to prevent overheating. This is normal, but unlike the PS4, the PS5’s fan seems to be a huge improvement in terms of noise levels.

We’ve all come across PCs, laptops, and consoles that have extremely loud fans. Sometimes it’s not noticeable over the sound of the game you’re playing, but if you are the type that’s sensitive to noise, then this could be an issue. However, an early hands-on review by Japanese YouTube channel 4Gamer, they found that while playing games like Godfall, the PS5’s fan seems to be relatively quiet.

The Sony Xperia 5 II is expected to release in the next few weeks, and the first unboxing has arrived. Sony is rolling out a new firmware update for the Xperia 1 II flagship with build number 58.0.A.3.170. This moves the Android security patches from August 2020 to September 2020 – given that we're now in October, this September patch has arrived a bit later than expected.

It seems that Apple’s TV ambitions are starting to grow because according to multiple reports, Apple is apparently planning to bring its Apple TV app to more platforms like the Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

The initial report came from Windows Central who claimed that Apple is working with Microsoft to bring the Apple TV app to Xbox consoles. The feature was actually spotted by some Xbox Insiders and later corroborated by Windows Central themselves. 9to5Mac later followed up by saying that Apple is also working with Sony on a similar feature, although they also note that for the PlayStation, there could also be HomeKit support.

A couple of years ago, Nikon decided to get serious about its mirrorless efforts and announced both the Nikon Z6 and Z7 full-frame mirrorless cameras to better compete with the likes of Sony. The company has since launched other mirrorless cameras part of its Z-lineup, but what about the originals? Will we be seeing a successor to either model?

It turns out that we might, at least that’s according to a listing on B&H Photo in which the online retailer has listed both the Nikon Z6 II and the Z7 II. The specs of either camera was not mentioned, but the fact that it was listed suggests that these cameras could be on their way. The page also features an event invite to a Nikon announcement which is scheduled for the 14th of October at 12AM ET.

If you haven’t been playing your Nintendo Switch for a while, there is a chance you might have packed it away somewhere. However, it seems that according to a tweet by Nintendo Japan, the company is actually recommending that gamers charge their Switch consoles at least once every six months.

The company is warning that consoles that go for longer than six months without charging might somehow get spoilt and that when gamers try to charge it again, it won’t work. If you are actively playing your Switch, there’s a good chance it’s left in the dock which means that it should always be charging, so this isn’t an issue.

Given that we all don’t live or work in acoustically-treated rooms, there is bound to be echoes whenever we speak into a microphone, like during a video conferencing call. This is why more often than not, a lot of video calls tend to not have the best sound quality. However, Google Meet is changing that.

Google has announced that for the iOS and Android Meet app, they will be introducing the same noise cancellation technology that they brought to the web version of Meet earlier this year. What this means that all the noise cancellation you need to ensure crisp and clear vocals will be accomplished mostly through software processing.

One of the reasons why you would pre-order the Xbox Series X or the PS5 is because you want to ensure that you will be able to get your hands on the console on the day that it is released. However, if you pre-ordered either console from Amazon, it seems that there is a chance that you might not receive it on time.

This is according to emails that Amazon has sent out to customers of both the Xbox Series X and PS5, in which the company is warning that ahead of time that they might not receive their consoles in time for launch day. According to Amazon’s email, they are citing high demand as the reason for this.
