Fujifilm X-H2 Could Be Launching In 2022

When it comes to video, Fujifilm’s mirrorless cameras have typically fallen a little short. While they are capable, they certainly aren’t on par with other brands such as Sony or Panasonic. However, that changed when Fujifilm launched the X-H1 all those years ago, but what has happened to its successor?

The Last of Us Remake Will Be Coming To The PS5

When Sony and Naughty Dog first launched The Last of Us, it was back in 2013. The game was initially designed for the Sony PS3 console, although they later followed up with a remaster for the PS4. Now according to a report from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, it seems that Sony is looking to remake the game for the PS5.

It’s not often that you see games remade/remastered this many times, but we can’t say we’re surprised. The Last of Us is not only a visually stunning game, but it has a very strong storyline that many seem to love. Creating a version that utilizes the hardware of the PS5 and bringing it to players who might not have played it before actually makes sense.

Apple Reveals That They Killed Plans To Bring Imessage To Android

Apple Reveals That They Killed Plans To Bring iMessage To Android

Back in the day, one of the reasons why BlackBerry was as popular as it was was because of its messenger service, BBM. Back then, all the “cool kids” had BBM and the only way to get BBM was to buy a BlackBerry phone. Now, Apple has tried to replicate this with its iMessage platform, but it seems that at one point in time, they almost brought the feature onto Android.

This is according to the legal proceedings between Apple and Epic where according to the court filings, it was revealed that Apple had acknowledged that they were initially planning to bring iMessage over onto Android, but ultimately decided not to. This was confirmed by Apple exec Eddy Cue, and it was also later revealed by another Apple exec, Craig Federighi, that bringing iMessage to Android could actually be detrimental to the iPhone’s success.

There is no doubt that when it comes to photography, digital photography is the most “efficient”. Spotify Rolls Out Hands - Free Digital Assistant For Ios And Android

Spotify Rolls Out Hands-Free Digital Assistant For iOS And Android

A few years ago, it was discovered that Spotify was working on their own digital assistant similar to the likes of Siri and Google Assistant. Now it looks like that digital assistant got a bit smarter thanks to Spotify introducing a hands-free feature that lets users activate the assistant using a wake word.

The feature was initially spotted by GSMArena who were notified on their phone that Spotify was introducing the feature. Basically whenever the Spotify app is open, all users need to do is say, “Hey Spotify” to launch the digital assistant and command it to do what you want of it, such as playing songs, playlists, and so on.

Check Out The World's Largest (and Functional) Nintendo Switch

Check Out The World's Largest (And Functional) Nintendo Switch

A couple of months ago, we saw how a YouTuber created the world’s largest and functional PS5 console. Not to be outdone, another YouTuber by the name of Michael Pick has decided to do something similar, except that instead of the PS5, he has opted to create the world’s largest and playable Nintendo Switch console.

According to Pick, the reason behind him creating a larger version was because the smaller version was “easy to lose”. “I really like the Nintendo Switch. It’s small, it’s portable — but it’s really easy to lose. And for me, that was a problem. So, I decided to fix that by making something that was just a little bit larger.”

Whatsapp Testing Allowing Ios Users To Migrate Chat History To Android

WhatsApp Testing Allowing iOS Users To Migrate Chat History To Android

If you use an iOS device but want to migrate to Android, it’s not that hard to transfer photos and contacts, but when it comes to migrating WhatsApp chat history, that’s when it gets a bit tricky. However, the good news is that WhatsApp is finally about to do something about it, according to a recent discovery by the folks at WABetaInfo.

For those who are unfamiliar, WhatsApp on iOS stores its chat history backup to iCloud, whereas on Android, it uses Google Drive. This means that in order to migrate chat history from one device to another, you would need to use third-party softwares that may or may not work and that you would have to pay for.

Study Finds Android Shares More Data With Google Than Ios Does With Apple

Study Finds Android Shares More Data With Google Than iOS Does With Apple

This is why it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that when it comes to collecting data on its users, a recent study conducted by Doug Leith, a professor of computer science at Trinity College and who also serves on the college’s chair of computer systems, he found that Android shares about 20x more data with Google than iOS does with Apple.

Based on his findings, it is estimated that on startup, an Android device sends about 1MB of data to Google, while an iOS device sends 42KB to Apple. It was also estimated that after 12 hours, Android collectively gathers 1.3TB of data versus iOS which collects about 5.8GB. Unsurprisingly, Google isn’t too thrilled at this study.

Sony Confirms Shut Down Of PS3, PS Vita, PSP Stores This July

Earlier last week, it was reported that Sony could be looking to shut down the stores for its PS3, PS Vita, and PSP consoles. Given how old those consoles are and with Sony already focusing their efforts and resources into the PS5, the report didn’t really come as that big of a surprise, but for those wondering if it’s true, yes, it is.

The initial shut down will apply to the PS3 and PSP, while the PS Vita’s store will be closing on the 27th of August, giving it almost two months extra time.

New Android Malware Disguises Itself As A System Update

New Android Malware Disguises Itself As A System Update

Malware on smartphones isn’t new, although what’s troubling is that the creators of these malwares have come up with new and interesting and even more sneaky ways of disguising them to trick users into installing it. The latest malware, as discovered by security firm Zimperium, seems to have managed to disguise itself as an Android system update.

The irony in this is that system updates are usually designed to patch security holes and vulnerabilities and to close off exploits from being used, so for most people, seeing an update and installing it is something they’re probably used to and might not necessarily pay attention to as well.

If Your Ps4's Clock Battery Dies, So Does Your Console

If Your PS4's Clock Battery Dies, So Does Your Console

Nothing lasts forever, at least for the most part, and we usually expect that with our electronic devices due to wear and tear. However, if you own the PS4, it seems that inside the console there is a ticking “time bomb” in the form of the console’s clock battery, where if the battery dies, so does your console.

This is according to a report from trusted hacker Lance McDonald which was made in response to a tweet by Does It Play, an account dedicated to video game preservation. According to McDonald, the PS4’s clock battery is tied to the PS4’s trophy system to prevent gamers from exploiting it.
