If you thought that the Sony PS5 was kind of huge, then you might need a little perspective because YouTuber ZHC has revealed what can only be described as the world’s largest PS5 to date. This unit is said to be 100 times larger than the actual console itself, but here’s the kicker, it actually works.

Yup, this monstrosity isn’t just for show as the console actually functions and is playable on its gigantic DualSense controller, which we have to say looks incredibly fun albeit a bit ridiculous and hilarious at the same time. According to ZHC, it is estimated that the giant PS5 cost about $70,000, which is 140 times more expensive than the regular PS5.

Last week, Nissan stated that they were open to the idea of working with Apple on the rumored Apple Car. However, it seems that those talks might have actually already ended, or at least that’s what a report from the Financial Times is claiming.

The publication had claimed that both companies had entered brief talks, but apparently due to branding issues where Nissan wasn’t keen on making Apple-branded cars, those talks came swiftly to an end. It also seems that those talks did not progress that much and did not even make it to the senior management level.

Last year it was revealed in leaked photos that it seems that the Sony PS5 could offer up more customizability in terms of design due to the plates being removable. This led to some companies offering to create custom PS5 plates, but this was quickly shut down as Sony sent them legal letters asking them to desist.

However, it appears that Toronto-based company, dbrand, doesn’t seem to care and have launched their own custom PS5 skins. For those who are unfamiliar with dbrand, the company specializes in creating skins for gadgets like smartphones, consoles, and laptops, so it didn’t really come as a surprise that they would eventually create one for the PS5.

The analog sticks on gaming controllers are essentially mechanical parts. This means that over time and with frequent usage, they can get damaged. However, the question is how long can we realistically expect them to last before they start displaying problematic behavior? In the case of Sony’s PS5 DualSense controllers, not very long.

PS5 gamers have been reporting that they are experiencing an issue known as drifting. This is where cursors and characters on the screen start to scroll or move even without any user input. This isn’t a problem exclusive to the PS5 because some of you might recall, Nintendo also faced similar issues with the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers a few years ago and are currently facing lawsuits over it.

While our digital cameras are more than capable of recording videos, sometimes they lack certain features that professional videographers might need, which is why camcorders still exist. If you are looking for a camcorder, one that isn’t too big or bulky, Sony could have something for you.

In a tweet by Nokishita, a photo of the upcoming Sony FX3 has been leaked online. For those unfamiliar, Sony’s FX series is part of their lineup of camcorders which the company refers to as their Cinema Line. They range in sizes from being relatively small to big, but the FX3 is taking things one step further with its design.

There are apps for just about anything, even for simple things like scanning barcodes. In fact, such apps are actually rather popular with an app called Barcode Scanner which has been installed over 10 million times. However, it turns out that the app has since proven itself to be malware and according to Malwarebytes, they believe that as a result, could have infected as many as 10 million users.

It turns out that the app did not start off with the intent to be malicious. However, it seems that in the latest update to the app, malicious code was snuck in and users who installed the app started noticing weird things happening with their phones. This was initially discovered by user Anon00 and Malwarebytes confirmed it.

Now that Hyundai/Kia is pretty much out of the picture as far as the rumored Apple Car project is concerned, who’s next? Who could wind up being Apple’s partner for the project? While some analysts believe that we could get an announcement in the coming months, it seems that Nissan is open to the idea.

During the company’s quarterly earnings conference call, Nissan’s CEO Makoto Uchida was asked about a potential collaboration with Apple on the Apple Car project now that Hyunda is out of the running. Uchida’s response was very diplomatic in the sense that he did not shoot down the idea, nor did he outright confirm anything. Instead, he made comments about taking new initiatives and how they need to work with companies that are knowledgeable and with good experience.

In the more recent versions of iOS, Apple has introduced indicators within iOS to let users know if their microphone or cameras are being accessed. This is useful because if you did not grant an app permission to use your phone’s cameras or microphones, then these indicators will let you know.

Now it seems that Google could be considering a similar move for its Android operating system. In a report from XDA Developers, it appears that leaked screenshots of the upcoming Android 12 update have surfaced and have given us a glimpse as to what we might be able to expect from the update, one of which are similar privacy-related indicators we’ve seen in iOS.

This is according to an interview that comedian Adam Conover did with The Serf Times, where he revealed that apparently due to an internal leak, Nintendo decided to cancel both the Zelda TV series and also a claymation Star Fox show that was supposed to be in development with CollegeHumor.

According to Conover, “A month later, suddenly there were reports that Netflix wasn’t going to do Legend of Zelda anymore. I was like, ‘What happened?’ And then I heard from my boss that we weren’t going to do Star Fox anymore. I thought that was weird, so I asked him what happened and he said, ‘Oh, someone at Netflix leaked the Legend of Zelda thing. Nintendo freaked out’.”

For a while now, we have been hearing rumors that Nintendo is apparently working on a new Switch model. This is said to be the “Pro” model that will offer up better performance compared to the current model, could use a mini LED display, and so on. However, if you were hoping to hear about it soon, don’t hold your breath.

This is according to a report from Bloomberg who recently covered Nintendo’s quarterly earnings meeting. According to what took place during the meeting and when asked whether or not a new Switch model would be released soon, Nintendo replied by saying “not anytime soon”.

Our consoles have come a long way in terms of performance. Back with the PS4, gamers who wanted higher resolution and better frame rates had to purchase the PS4 Pro, but that changed with the PS5 which can obviously handle games at higher performances. But what about games that were designed for previous-gen consoles?

While we can’t speak for all the games, for those who are still playing the 2018 release of God of War or who want a reason to replay the game, Sony’s Santa Monica Studio has announced that they will be releasing a patch for the game which when played on the PS5, will enable it to run at 4K resolution at a smooth-as-silk 60 fps.

For a long time, the Nintendo 3DS was one of the company’s most popular and best-selling consoles. It wasn’t hard to see why, given that the Wii U was a flop, plus the ability to take your favorite game on the go was immensely appealing. However, it seems that the Nintendo Switch has managed to dethrone the 3DS.

According to Nintendo’s latest financial earnings, the company has revealed that the Switch has managed to officially overtake the sales of the 3DS console by selling 79.87 million units as of December 31, 2020. This is a huge deal because like we said, the 3DS was one of the company’s best-selling consoles in the recent years.

Sometimes after a long day at work or school, we might fall asleep to Netflix playing in the background. This can be annoying as you might wake up and Netflix would have played several episodes and you’ll have to go back and find where you stopped. However, that could change soon with a new sleep timer.

Netflix has recently launched a global test for its Android app where they are now including a sleep timer. This is pretty straightforward and is as the name suggests, a timer where you can set and after a certain period of time, Netflix will stop playing. At its current implementation, users can choose between four timer settings: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or end when the episode or movie comes to an end.

Sony’s place in the smartphone market is slowly diminishing as the company’s releases have been sporadic. However, it seems that Sony could be changing their direction where instead of focusing more on the average consumer, they might be hoping that their products could appeal to creative professionals.

So much so that the company has since announced the Sony Xperia PRO. This is the latest smartphone from Sony that comes in at a whopping price tag of $2,500. It is crazy expensive for a smartphone, especially one that doesn’t have a foldable display, but like we said, it seems that Sony is hoping that this is a smartphone that creatives might be interested in.
