Mazda Cx - 50 Crossover Previewed Ahead Of November 15 Debut

Mazda CX-50 crossover previewed ahead of November 15 debut

Mazda will launch its crossover offensive by unveiling a new model called CX-50 on November 15, 2021. One of five upcoming additions to the firm's range of soft-roaders, the CX-50 is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2021 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The video that Mazda posted on its various social media channels intentionally reveals very little about the CX-50; it doesn't even confirm what we're looking at. Instead, it gives viewers a good look at the plant life that thrives in a damp forest — there is moss, fern, and a waterfall that briefly brings the backdrop to life. Squint, and you'll see the outline of the crossover hauling a kayak through the trees. All we can really tell is that it wears relatively rounded lines; this is not a boxy, burly off-roader in the vein of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

2021 Acura Nsx Leads This Month's List Of Discounts

2021 Acura NSX leads this month's list of discounts

The 2021 Acura NSX is an especially good deal this month. Not only does it carry the torch as the vehicle with the biggest discount measured by the percentage off its sticker price, that discount is also the largest of any vehicle currently sold in the United States when measured in sheer size.

Here are the numbers: The average sticker price of all 2021 NSX models sits at $161,040. Buyers are paying an average transaction price of $142,907. That equals a discount of 11.3%, or $18,133 of savings. No other vehicle comes close to that kind of discount, with the next largest being for the 2021 BMW 7 Series. Buyers of that luxury sedan are saving an average of $11,661 for a transaction price of $94,884.

Next Nissan Gt - R Outlined By Ceo; New Platform Definite, Electric Possible

Next Nissan GT-R outlined by CEO; new platform definite, electric possible

Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida recently revealed his thoughts on the long-awaited next-generation Nissan GT-R. Firstly, the evolution of Japan's iconic supercar will feature an all-new platform, he says, but how much it's electrified, if at all, is still to be determined.

The head honcho explained while speaking to Autocar, "Whether we go to a lot of electrification or none at all, we can achieve a lot power-wise. But we're definitely making a new platform, and our goal is clear: the GT-R has to be the quickest car of its kind. It has to own the track. And it has to play the advanced technology game. But that doesn't mean it has to be electric."

2022 Acura Mdx Type S Specs Boast 355 - Hp Turbo V6, Air Suspension

2022 Acura MDX Type S specs boast 355-hp turbo V6, air suspension

Details have finally emerged about the new 2022 Acura MDX Type S. Positioned as the performance-oriented member of the MDX range, the midsize luxury SUV gains a turbocharged V6, Brembo brakes, an air suspension, and a longer list of standard features.

Acura takes the heritage-laced "Type S" designation seriously; the badge also appears on the NSX and on the TLX. While we love the thought of an NSX-powered MDX, it's the TLX that was asked to provide its engine. Power comes from a new 3.0-liter V6 that's turbocharged to 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Acura points out these figures make the MDX Type S the most powerful crossover or SUV it has ever released. The six-cylinder spins all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission that has been redesigned to provide quicker shifts, and a Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive (SH-AWD) system programmed to send up to 70% of the engine's torque to the rear wheels. And, as always for Acura's SH-AWD, 100% of that torque can be sent to the left or the right wheel (aka torque vectoring).

Toyota Aygo X Argues The Cheap And Cheerful City Car Isn't Dead Yet

Toyota Aygo X argues the cheap and cheerful city car isn't dead yet

Toyota said it remained committed to Europe's city car segment earlier in 2021, and it kept its word by unveiling the Aygo X. Positioned at the bottom of the range, below the Yaris, the hatchback has been redesigned from the ground up with a rugged look and more tech.

While the first two generations of the Aygo were developed jointly by Toyota and PSA Peugeot-Citroën (now part of Stellantis), the third-generation model was designed solely by the Japanese firm; it sounds like its former French partners are leaving the segment. It still has some French genes: it was previewed by the Aygo X Prologue concept that came out Toyota's design studio in the south of France. The SUV influence has been significantly toned down, but the Aygo X is characterized by a more burly look than its predecessor and Toyota refers to it as a crossover.

2022 Subaru Outback Review | What's New, Pricing, Wilderness Pictures

2022 Subaru Outback Review | What's new, pricing, Wilderness pictures

The Subaru Outback was already the go-to choice for those who need a vehicle for going on adventures off the beaten path, but want something other than an SUV. Or, perhaps, those who actually see the practical advantages of a wagon over a similarly priced midsize SUV (lower roof for mounting things on racks, larger back seat). That it has more ground clearance than the typical SUV helps its case, too.

Ah, but it obviously wasn't enough for some. The 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness debuts this year as an answer for all those current owners who have been lifting their Outbacks even higher, putting on rugged tires and lamenting the novel swing-in roof rails aren't strong enough for all uses. The Wilderness does that from the factory and looks extra cool to boot. Should you live in an area where Outbacks are popular, it'll be like driving an AMG Mercedes … people will notice and acknowledge you have the cool one.

2022 Toyota Tundra Gets More Expensive And More Miles Per Gallon

2022 Toyota Tundra gets more expensive and more miles per gallon

Toyota has released pricing information for the new 2022 Tundra. Unveiled earlier in 2021, the third-generation truck ditches the V8 in favor of an available hybrid powertrain and gains a redesigned rear suspension system but it doesn't cost significantly more than its predecessor.

Buyers will have a dizzying selection of trim levels, drivetrains, and cab configurations to choose from, which is par for the course. The cheapest member of the line-up is the rear-wheel-drive SR version equipped with a Double Cab, a 6.5-foot cargo box, and a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6. It starts at $37,655 once a mandatory $1,695 destination charge enters the equation. For context, the entry-level 2021 cost $37,410 including the same destination charge and with the same cab and cargo box configuration. That's a small difference for a new truck.
