Japan, Russia agree on return of bodies believed to be from sunken tour boat

Japan and Russia have agreed on the return of three bodies found on the coasts of the Russian-controlled Kunashiri Island and Sakhalin Island after a Japanese tour boat sank in April.

The tour boat "Kazu I," carrying 26 people, sank off Shiretoko Peninsula in the northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido. Fourteen people have been confirmed dead. Twelve remain unaccounted for.

Japanese cabinet ministers approved Friday the budget for former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo's state funeral. The ceremony is set for next month. It comes with a roughly 1.8-million-dollar price tag.

Japan's government will foot the entire bill. It plans to invite 6,000 guests. The funeral will be held at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan on September 27th.

US space agency NASA says its SpaceX Crew Dragon with Japanese astronaut Wakata Koichi and three others on board will launch no earlier than October 3.

NASA made the announcement on Thursday, pushing back the earliest possible departure date from September 29. The agency said the adjustment allows for extra separation from other spacecraft traffic going to and from the space station.
