You Can Now Win The First 2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition In The Us

Honda is teaming up with Omaze to offer the first 2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition in the US market to one lucky winner.

Starting today, you can enter for a chance to win the 2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition serial number 001, as well as a driving experience on the track with Honda IndyCar driver Colton Herta.

Every donation to the online fundraising platform Omaze will go to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community which supports 47 public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), medical schools, and law schools.

“One lucky Type R fan is going to take home a very special vehicle and have an exclusive driving experience at a Honda track with Colton Herta while helping support the needs of HBCU students navigating their education during COVID-19,” added Hunsicker.

Honda has been supporting students at America’s HBCU for more than three decades and earlier this year has provided them with emergency relief funds to support their local communities impacted by the pandemic. The carmaker also supports HBCU students through initiatives like the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge and Honda Battle of the Bands.

The 2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition, which will be offered in just 600 examples in the U.S. market, is the most hardcore Type R of this generation. The limited-edition hot hatch is lighter by 46 pounds than the standard model by removing sound deadening, the rear seat heater vents, and the rear window wiper while featuring unique suspension and steering settings.

In addition, the Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition is finished in the exclusive Phoenix Yellow paint with a gloss black roof, hood scoop, and mirror caps. The wheels are lightweight BBS units shod in Michelin Cup 2 summer tires.
